View from the riverbanks of Eton College and, in particular, the College Chapel Building.

The College was founded in 1440 by Henry VI to educate scholars who would then go on to King's College at Cambridge.

The Chapel was begun in 1441, but was rebuilt 1449 - 1461, and again 1469 - 1475. It can be compared with other great Royal Chapels of the same period, such as King's College Chapel at Cambridge, St George's Chapel at Windsor, and Henry VII's Chapel at Westminster Abbey.
