View of Derwentwater in the Lake District of Cumbria, Northern England. The lake is three miles in length and more than a mile in width. Derwent Water, sometimes, but less properly called Keswick Lake, is considered the gem of the English Lakes and is well known for its picturesque landscape. The lake is fed by the River Derwent and contains four small islands. The lake has been popular with tourists and travellers since the 18th century.
