View of Lulworth Cove in Dorset. This is a famous coastal landscape feature: a shell shaped cove. This was visited by George III. In the 18th century, the area was also used by smugglers. Geologists have visited the area since the early 19th century and the site provides excellent examples of sea erosion, exposed Jurassic and Cretaceous Strata and a 'fossil forest'
