A view of the residence of a Mr Lloyd. This is possibly Mr James LLoyd, a 19th century surgeon. The house is situated in Bridge End in Haversfordwest, Pembrokeshire. The town is situated on an prominence above the River Dungleddy. The artist is thought to be Thomas Jones (1742-1803). Jones studied at Oxford before going to London to paint under Richard Wilson and although he completed many painting of the Welsh countryside he was best known for his oil paintings of the Italian landscape.
