New Bridge Street starts at the junction of Fleet Street and Ludgate Hill. It takes traffic from the City of London towards Blackfriars Bridge which crosses the river to Southwark. In fact in this view, the start of the bridge can just be seen. To the left is the offices of the Albion Fire an Life Insurance Company. In the centre of the road is a obelisk monument with a Latin inscription on. It is surrounded by bollards and iron railings. There are several carriages parked on the road.
