St Mary's is the medieval parish church of Wilton, an important medieval town with a famous Benedictine nunnery. The town also housed a number of hospitals and several other churches. St Mary's is at present in ruins in the town market place. The nave, in particular, has collapsed, but the chancel, which has an 18th century ceiling, is still standing.
