Medium: Aquatint, coloured
Newcastle Emlyn is a market town in the Teifi Valley, Carmarthenshire. It developed in the 13th century around a crossing point over the River Teifi, and near a castle built by Meredith ap Rhys Gryg. A bridge was built at this point by the Normans and since this time it has been rebuilt, strengthened and widened many times.
