A north east view of St Mary the Virgin's Upchurch Church in Kent. This church is of interest because of its unusual looking spire. It appears to have been built in two separate shapes - the first tier was pyramid shaped and the second octagonal. The result spire looks rather misshapen. Upchurch is also notable as having Edmund Drake as vicar in 1560, who was the father of Sir Francis Drake. As this view shows the church has a wide nave and wide aisles.
