View of the village of Carisbrook, in the centre of the Isle of Wight. The village of is situated at the foot of a hill on the peak of which is situated Carisbrook Castle. The church is large and was built in the Gothic style. Sir Francis Walsingham, Secretary of State to Queen Elizabeth, demolished a large proportion of the church in the XX century.
