This view of Rottingdean in Sussex shows St Margaret's church and surrounding cottages. The church has a Norman nave, but it is otherwise in the Early English style. The church has a sturdy tower at its centre, with slender, pointed arch windows (known as lancets) that were a popular feature in early 13th-century churches. The church is situated next to the village green.
