Two views of old St Pancras Church, which used to be in the county of Middlesex. This modest parish church is very different from the new St Pancras Church, which replaced it. St Pancras 'Old Church' as it is now known, is located on an early Saxon period Christian site, and the building seen here dates from about 1350. In 1822, after the new St Pancras was built in the Greek Revival style and this church was made into a chapel of ease. The 1840s Victorian 'restoration' drastically altered its appearance. The burial ground seen in this picture, was popular with Roman Catholics and refugees from the French Revolution
