View of the font at Wheathamstead Church in Hertfordshire. The font dates fro the 14th century and is octagonal in shape. It has been finely carved with a decoration of quatrefoil circles on leaves. The font also has a carving of a leopard’s head which was the emblem of the Macry family who were the benefactors of much of the decorative work in the inside of the church.
