View of the Blackwater River in Ireland. The Blackwater along with the Lee and the Brandon is one of three principal rivers in Cork. It rises at Knockanefune Hill in Kerry and runs east and then south, forming an 11 mile boundary between Cork and Kerry. The river then flows for over 50 miles through Cork and Waterford to the sea at Youghal.
