View of some cottages near the village of Great Washbourne in Gloucestershire. The manor of Washbourne had been the property of Tewkesbury Abbey, until its dissolution. By the 18th century the Craven family were lords of the manor. The village was set along a single street and the occupation of the village was purely agricultural. Here there are several cottages, the main cottage is timber framed with mullion windows.
