View of St Peter and Paul’s Church in Tring, Hertfordshire. Tring is situated at the edge of the Chiltern Hills and on the important ancient road known as the ‘Icknield Way’. The oldest part of the church dates from the 13th century but it stands on the site of a much earlier church which was destroyed by fire. The church was built in the English Decorated style and the oldest parts are the nave and chancel. Much of the church was rebuilt in the 15th century and then it was extensively refurbished in the 19th century.
