View of Enville
View from the lake of the landscaped grounds at Enville in Staffordshire. A 'castle' folly can be seen in the the distance on top of the hill and also a large three-storey house with crenellations. This is Enville Hall, built in the late 18th century and home to the Earl of Stamford. The well landscaped grounds were hilly and full of features and diversions for the amusement of guests, including a hermit house, a temple, a summer house, a pagoda and a boat house.
