View of Kingston church in the county of Surrey
View of All Saints church in Kingston upon Thames. This large Norman structure has been the subject to many alterations and restorations. A wider nave was built in the 14th century. Its first spire was destroyed in a storm in 1445; a second was built in the early 16th century, but was also destroyed. The tower is now crowned by an attractive brick roof added in 1708. During the 17th and 18th centuries, galleries were added to the church.
