View of Erbistock Church near Wrexham. The first records of the church date from 1254 when it was refered to in the Norwich Taxation of 1254. At this point the church was dedicated to St Erbin, was a timber construction and was located in the parish of Denbigshire. By the 18th century a stone church had been built and it had been re-dedicated to St Hilary. The church is situated in a picturesque setting on the northern bank of the River Dee.
