Watercolour of the Monmorency Falls in Canada. The falls are situated at the mouth of the Montmorency River about ten kilometres from Quebec City and the water cascades eighty three meters into the St Lawrence River. The Monmorency Falls are twenty seven meters higher than the more famous Niagrs Falls. The Monmorency River flows for approximately sixty miles in a southerly direction from its source in the Laurentian Mountains to its mouth at the Mountmorency Falls.
