The parish church of St Mary in Iffley, Oxfordshire, was built by local landowners the St Remy family. The small, richly decorated interior is typical of Norman churches, with great arches covered with zig-zag carvings supporting the tower. Intricately carved doorways appear on the west and south fronts. Iffley's church is one of the best preserved 12th-century churches in England.
