This drawing is formally titled. On the reverse of the drawing is a triangulation diagram that the draughtsman would have used to plot topographical features of the landscape. This is the first Ordnance Survey Drawing to use the conventional sign of a dot within a triangle to indicate a trigonometrical point. These appear around the edges of the drawing in red ink, indicating the point from where the surveyor took angular measurements in order to plot topographical features of the landscape.
