The alabaster recumbent effigy shows Sir George Chaworth, who was Viscount Chaworth of Armagh and High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire. He is swathed in robes up to his mouth, and wearing an indoor cap similar to those worn by Elizabethan and Jacobean gentlemen.
