This brass monument in Annesley old parish church depicts a forester with bow and arrow accompanied by his hound. The old church dated from the 13th century, and was the centre of the parish of Annsley. It served the settlements of Annesley and Felley. It fell into dereliction, and a new church, All Saints, was built in 1874, incorporating some of the building material from the old building.
