This kneeling knight is copied from the Annesley family window in Annesley old church. The Annesleys were the local manorial family from the 12th to15th centuries, and lived at the neighbouring Annesley Hall. They founded the Felley Priory in the parish. This old church itself dates from the 13th century and was the centre of the parish of Annesley. It fell into dereliction and a new church, All Saints, was built in 1874, incorporating some of the building material from the old church.
