This sketch shows "Cuthberry (Cadbury) Camp on the Clevedon hills, seen coming from Failand inn" in Somerset. This prehistoric mound, known as Cadbury's Camp, is an iron-age fort. The hillfort was inhabited at different times as a place of defence against the Romans, Anglo Saxons and the Vikings. The camp is circular and 300 yards across. There are other earthworks nearby such as Woodhill Camp and Walton Castle Hill.
