The River Dove forms the boundary between Derbyshire and Staffordshire and flows through an idyllic countryside full of limestone cliffs, heavily wooded slopes and beautiful valleys. In Grimm's day, Dovedale was a popular spot for walkers, picnicers and countryside-lovers. It comes as no surprise that the area still draws people from all over the country to marvel at its beauty.
