A north view in ink of Kirkby in Ashfield Church in Nottinghamshire, with a procession. Samuel Grimm painted many scenes of Kirkby-in-Ashfield for his patron, Sir Richard Kaye, who from 1765 was rector of his parish. This is one of three scenes, Grimm painted of processions heading to St Wilfred's Church. The medieval church was burned down in 1907.
