A sketch in pencil of the monumental effigy of Sir John Horsey in the north transept of Sherborne church. Horsey bought the building from the Crown following Henry VIII's dissolution of monastic houses in the 1530s. He sold it to local parishioners for £300. The church now adjoins Sherborne School, one of the best known public schools in England.
