An outline view in ink taken on the road near Oxford, drawn by S.H. Grimm. For 21 years, Grimm was a travelling companion to his patron Rev. Sir Richard Kaye. Kaye’s career in the Church elevated him from parson to Dean of Lincoln. As new posts took him across the country, Grimm was charged to follow and record the topography around him.
