A view of a mount near the school on the way to Prior Park, at Combe Down near Bath in Somerset. It was close to the estate belonging to Ralph Allen, who between 1735 and 1750 built a Palladian style villa here. The house lies on a hillside with grounds sloping down to the nearby village of Widcombe. The gardens were landscaped by Capability Brown and Alexander Pope and contained several ornamental features to impress visitors - such as a Palladian Bridge and a castle folly.
