View of a piece of circular stone masonry, possibly the base of a monument. It lies in the churchyard of All Saints' Church in Ripley, Yorkshire, a market town situated near Harrowgate. Langdale's Topographical Dictionary of Yorkshire (1822) noted that, "in the church yard is a very uncommon pedestal of an ancient Cross, with eight niches, intended, probably, for kneeling in".
