South-west view of Holy Sepulchre Church in Northampton, founded in c.1110 by Crusader Simon de Senlis, Earl of Northampton. The church was originally a round Norman Church, a design favoured by the Orders of Knights Templars and Knights Hospitallers, very few of which have survived. The tower dates from the 13th century and in the 14th century a long chancel was added.
