Drawing of the Norman font at The Old White Chapel in the North, Cleckheaton, Yorkshire. The font is circular in form and decorated with intersecting arches and zig-zag patterns. Langdale's Topographical Dictionary of Yorkshire (1822) notes that this chapel had recently been rebuilt and that the new chapel which replaced it had retained the name of "White Chapel".
