A distant view of Walton Castle and Sir John Durbin's summer-house in Clevedon in Somerset, ''taken from the foot of Cuthbury Camp'' (Cadbury Camp), an Iron Age fort. The hillfort was inhabited at different times as a place of defence against the Romans, Anglo Saxons and later the Vikings. The camp is circular and 300 yards across. It lies above the road to Clevedon. There are other earthworks nearby such as Woodhill Camp and on Walton Castle Hill in the distance.
