Hotwells, an area outside of Bristol, is famous for its hot spring waters and was developed in the 18th century as a spa or health resort for ailing gentry. In the distance is Dundry Hill, a prominent feature in the landscape with steep sides and a broad plateau, dominated by the splendid west tower of St Michael's Church.
