A distant view of Walton Castle, taken from Sir John Durbin's summer house on Clevedon Hill in Somerset. The castle was actually erected in the place where an Iron Age earthwork had previously stood and was built in c.1615-20 by the first Lord Poulett to an ornamental octagonal design.
