A view of the Warren House, Walton Castle and the ruined church, taken from "the farthermost tongue of land of the Clevenden Hills" (Clevedon in Somerset). The castle was actually erected in the place where an Iron Age earthwork had previously stood. The castle itself was built in c.1615-20 by the first Lord Poulett to an ornamental octagonal design.
