This is a woodcut map of the British Isles. It is presented as a birds eye view. Little is known about this map, but it is part of the Bagford collection, an early collection of miscellania which illustrates the history of printing. It is untitled but two banners at the top of the map are inscribed Vox Pacifica and Pax Vobis. In a typically medieval style a hand extends from the clouds at the top of the map to hold one of the banners, and to the right an angel blows a medieval style trumpet. In style and outline the map suggests a date of around 1580 (Bay of Cardigan). It is thought that the map may have functioned as part of a distributed religious tract.
