The Railway Quadrilles part 03
Composer: Hallwood, T
The most significant factor affecting the development of the mid 19th Century city, was the development of the railways and the most evident feature of such developments were the new stations. This sheet music names stations such as Liverpool, Manchester, Newton and Birmingham. Stations would have been new landmarks in cities and many visited them even when they did not have a journey to make, just to see the trains and witness the hustle and bustle of the station staff and passengers.
