Studies of reflections from concave mirrors ff.85v-86

Leonardo is here seeking to analyse the point of convergence of the reflected rays from mirrors of different curvatures.

On the bottom left of the left-hand page Leonardo has written a version of one of his best-known sayings: 'Every action done by nature is done in the shortest way.'

This version of Turning the Pages does not require the Shockwave plug-in. It foregoes the interactive animation that lets you 'virtually' turn pages and brings you the same high-quality images of our greatest books in standard web pages.

You can listen to the audio files on these pages with Windows Media Player
