'Behind the Scenes Tours' of Conservation Studios

See the work of conservation on a 'behind the scenes' tour of the studios in the Centre for Conservation and on the 6th floor in the main St Pancras building The tours, led by British Library conservators, give an insight into the techniques used to care for our collections.

Please note that coats and bags (including handbags) cannot be taken into the studios.  Please allow yourself time to leave any coats and bags either in the cloakroom or lockers which are on the lower ground floor of the main Library building. Please note: The tours are not suitable for young children due to the types of tools and equipment in use in the studios.

Event time: Every other Thursday, starting on the 1st Thursday of the month: 14.00 -15.00
Location:
Tours leave from the exhibition area in the Centre for Conservation, excepton the first Thursday of every month when the tours will leave from the main information desk as the tour visits the main St Pancras building studios.
Price: Free, advance booking recommended.
