Thursday 6th September / Thursday 4th October / Thursday 1st November / Thursday 6th December.

See the work of conservation and gain an insight into the techniques used to care for our collections on a 'behind the scenes' tour of the Conservation studios.

Please note that coats and bags (including handbags and clear plastic BL bags) cannot be taken into the studios.

Tours leave from the Foyle exhibition area in the Centre for Conservation and take place in the BLCC.

The tours are not suitable for children under 12, due to the types of tools and equipment in use in the studios.

Caring for your Family Archive

Tuesday 30th October 2012, 12:30-16:00

Many people are now gathering together photographs, documents and other memorabilia to create their own family archive. Appointments are available throughout the session for a consultation with one of our team of conservators on how best to care for your treasured items.

Please note that we are not able to give valuations or provide secure storage for items while you visit other parts of the Library.

Centre for Conservation. Booking essential. Free.
