| Research interests | My main research interests relate to the Lord Chamberlain's Plays collections in general, and to the history of stage censorship in the 19th and 20th centuries. I am currently reading for a PhD on the subject of the Lord Chamberlain and the depiction of the female body on the English stage 1900 - 1960. As curator of Modern Drama Collections, I am also interested in the great figures of the English theatre in the 20th century, especially Laurence Olivier, John Gielgud, Ralph Richardson, and Kenneth Tynan, as well as living playwrights such as Peter Nichols. |
