| Research interests | My main field of research is the history of the book, printing and publishing in South Asia. Last completed piece of research awaiting publication is the second part of a study on aspects of censorship and its circumvention under the Raj 1920s-1940s. Current projects include: A Chronology of Printing and Publishing in South Asia 1556-1900; A Gazetteer of Printing and Publishing in South Asia; and editing documents relating to 19th-century publishing in South Asia from the Indian Official Publications collection of the India Office Records. |
