Sound Installation

Lauren and Rose present a sound installation inspired by the contradiction of libraries as places abounding in written words, but lacking spoken words. Their work examines how the role of the British Library, as both a communal hub and a traditional library, allows the silent proprioception of the written word to become shared knowledge through conversation. Series of conversations have been taken from the Sound Archive of the British Library and have been used variously in their original forms, edited, copied and translated.
