For our 16th TalkScience event, Science@BL joined forces with the 
Campaign for Science and Engineering (CaSE) for From Lab Bench to Front Bench: Opportunities for Scientists. The discussion, moderated by Imran Khan (CaSE), featured Mark Henderson (Wellcome Trust), Alice Jones (Goldsmiths University) and Julian Huppert (Cambridge Centre for Science and Policy).

Imran Khan is Director of CaSE, leading the organisation’s efforts to raise the political profile of science

Mark Henderson is Head of Communications at the Wellcome Trust (formerly Science editor of The Times) and author of the forthcoming book, ‘The Geek Manifesto’.

Dr. Alice Jones is a Lecturer in Psychology at Goldsmiths University and recently took part in the Royal Society’s MP-Scientist pairing scheme

Dr. Chris Tyler is Executive Director of the Cambridge University Centre for Science and Policy and former science adviser to the Science and Technology Select Committee.
