Some of the above indexes of cadets entering into military service 1775 to 1939 are searchable via Access to Archives (A2A), the Archives Network for England hosted by the Public Record Office. In the box for 'Keyword', type in the surname of the person; in the box for 'Location of Archives', click on the drop-down menu and select 'British Library India Office Records'. Then click the red button 'Search'. )
