  The Historical Dictionary of Switzerland is an ongoing project to prepare a new work to replace the ageing Dictionnaire historique et biographique de la Suisse published by Attinger between 1921 and 1934. This site provides information on the project and also gives on-line public access to a selection of the entries completed to date (public access to 13,000 entries in June 1999).
