Newspapers Digitisation Project: British Newspapers 1800 - 1900

Selection of newspaper scans

Decisions are yet to be made regarding the final selection of newspapers for scanning, so only some of those illustrated here may be included in the Project.

Early work is being undertaken via a pilot exercise. This will inform the later stages of the Project about the quality of the microfilm, and the functionality of all the steps needed to bring texts to users via the web.
