As a European Documentation Centre, the British Library provides access to this information in the Social Sciences reading room.
The European Union publishes across a broad range of subject areas. The EDC collection is in its own Dewey run in the reading room, prefixed by EU followed by a Dewey number, which corresponds to the item’s shelfmark. This is separate from the main social science collection.

The collection covers most of the Dewey classes from EU 001s Generalities to EU 900s Geography, History etc. However, due to the nature of the European Union output the majority of material falls into the general area of the Social Sciences, EU 300 – EU 399.
